Real-Time Local Matching

Two different matching systems, for two different kinds of “local.”

Connect actually runs two different matching systems, for two different kinds of "local" — here's how each one really works.

Jobs: Smart Match ranks, it doesn't dispatch

On Connect's Jobs side, Smart Match ranks listings by distance, category fit and recency. Nobody gets automatically notified or assigned — a person posts "Need a Worker" or marks themselves "Available Now," and Smart Match decides what shows up near the top for the other side to browse and contact directly, by call, WhatsApp or in-app chat.

Instant Help: wave-based dispatch actively pushes the request out

Instant Help works differently on purpose — a request needs a fast response, not a browsable list. It's dispatched in waves: the closest verified, available partners are notified first; if nobody accepts in time, the radius widens automatically for the next wave. First partner to accept locks the job — everyone else is told immediately, with no double-booking.

Why two systems, not one

A job posting and an urgent AC repair request aren't the same kind of "local" problem. Browsing a ranked list works fine when there's no urgency; a broken AC on a hot day needs something actively pushed to the nearest available person. Using one matching model for both would make the urgent case too slow, or the browsing case too noisy.

What both share

Both are real-time — Smart Match's ranking updates as availability changes, and dispatch waves escalate automatically without a person managing them — and both run on the same live-location infrastructure described in our cloud development service. Both matching systems ship inside CappsAI Connect, alongside OTP-verified job completion and support for English, Hindi and Tamil.
