Edu360 Documentation

Modules, roles and workflows — how the platform actually fits together.

Overview

Edu360 is a multi-tenant school management platform (school ERP) built by CappsAI Technology Private Limited. Every school runs on its own isolated, secure workspace inside the same platform, with role-based access so each user sees exactly what's relevant to them. Modules are switched on per school, so a school only uses and pays for what it needs.

Roles

Edu360 defines five roles, each with a different view of the same underlying data:

  • Admin — full access across all switched-on modules for that school
  • Principal — school-wide visibility into attendance, fees, admissions and reports
  • Teacher — class-level attendance, marks entry, assignments and messaging
  • Parent — their child's attendance, fees, results, assignments and announcements
  • Student — their own academic dashboard, assignments and notifications

Modules

Modules can be enabled per school. Each links to a dedicated explanation:

  • Admissions — enquiry tracking through to enrollment
  • Attendance — geo-verified, marked per class, synced in real time
  • Leave — parent-submitted requests, teacher approval, reflected in attendance
  • Fees — collection, discounts, scholarships, refunds, automated reminders
  • Transport — live bus tracking, route history, arrival alerts
  • Hostel — hostel-specific record management
  • Examinations — marks entry, results, report cards
  • Timetable — academic scheduling
  • Teacher tools — personal dashboard, attendance marking, marks entry, assignments
  • Communication — real-time chat, calling and announcements
  • Reports & dashboards — school-wide and class-level views
  • AI Assistant (web) — ask in English, Tamil or Hindi; answers from school records, Excel/PDF reports, and changes that run only after you press Confirm, within your role's permissions

How a typical workflow runs

Example — a day's attendance and fee reminder cycle:

  1. A teacher marks class attendance from their dashboard; Edu360 verifies their device location against the school's campus boundary before accepting it.
  2. Attendance syncs immediately to the admin dashboard and to each present/absent student's parent app.
  3. If a fee is approaching its due date, Edu360 sends an automated reminder to the relevant parents — no admin action required.
  4. A parent can message the class teacher directly from the same app if they have a question about either.
